Caribbean Seasoned Pork Steaks

Serving Size : 4

 

  • 5 garlic clove
  • 1/2 spanish onion
  • 1/2 green bell pepper -- diced
  • 1 celery stalk -- chopped
  • 2 jalapeno pepper
  • 1/2 cup parsley -- chopped
  • 1/4 cup thyme -- chopped
  • 4 tbsp lime juice -- fresh
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper -- ground
  • 4 pork loin 1-inch thick

In a food processor, combine the garlic, onion, green pepper, celery, jalapeno, parsley, thyme, lime juice, salt and pepper. Blend into a paste.
Combine marinade with meat in a mixing bowl. Let marinate for 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.
Preheat broiler to 400ºF(200ºC) or over medium hot coals. If broiling, roast pork on a rack on an oven tray for 10 minutes on each side. Cook pork until an internal temperature of 165ºF(73ºC) is reached. Cooked pork should be firm and white throughout. (Baste pork with extra marinade as steaks are just turned.)
