Thumbs down

Kate,

I think you forgot the actual link to the recipe, so I couldn't look at it, but I can tell you that there are no bananas allowed on induction. In fact, I'm on OWL and haven't as much as smelled a banana in ages!

Sorry to have to break the news.

Of course, there's always banana flavoring or Davinci sugar free banana syrup if you want to substitute.

Karla

I think the member who posted it is long gone so we'll have to figure out the count ourselves.

Question The Guilt Free Chocolate & Banana Pancake

Is anyone aware of the carbs in this recipe. It does not say and I am afraid it will be too high.

I'm not familiar with that recipe. But the recipe title speaks volumes and sounds very high in carbs. However, if the recipe called for banana extract or unsweetened chocolate the carb count would probably be alot lower.

Lightbulb chocolate banana pancakes

Thanks for your input. I probably should have included some of this information on my first post, the recipe came from this sites lo-carb recipe section, under the 'Readers' lo-carb recipes, and goes as follows:
1 scoop of protein powder (chocolate works best)
1 pakage of splenda
1/2 mashed banana
3 egg whites
1/2 package of oatmeal (plain)
1 dash of cinnimon to taste

Now, that banana in there must have around 15 carbs alone if I remember right? And then there's that oatmeal? So is this actually a low carb recipe?

I would try to subsitute some ricotta cheese and banana flavoring (extract or davinci syrup) for the 1/2 banana.

I have no idea if that would work, but try and let us know

Sounds yummy but also sounds like something to make a person crave some chocolate!

Avah, I am leaving in Brasil and while surfing at google, came accross to your message at this site, specifying you own a Citizen bread maker. I have one too, but I have lost the blade and am trying to contact Citizen company, with no success. It is very bad not preparing home made breads... By any chance, could you kindly help me giving the fax number or e-mail of some Parts seller? Thank you indeed for your great help, please e-mail to me.
